Your privacy choices

You can ask for a copy of what Fast Break holds about you, correct it, delete it, or switch off the parts you don't want. This page is how each of those works. The privacy policy is the list of what's held in the first place.

The GDPR requires these rights in Europe and the CCPA requires them in California. Fast Break offers all of them to everyone, wherever you live. There's no address check and no separate route for people outside those places.

Get a copy of your data

Email support@azeralabs.dev from the address on your account and ask for a copy. Sending it from the account's address is what establishes the account is yours — without that step, knowing someone's email address would be enough to read their account.

You'll get everything held against your account: your email address, the teams and leagues you follow, your notification settings and quiet hours, saved articles, and your recently-read history. Requests are fulfilled within 30 days, in a format you can open and take elsewhere.

If you signed in with Google rather than an email address, send the request from the Google address you used and say so.

Delete your account and the data on it

Deletion has its own page, because there's a route inside the app and a route by email for anyone who's already uninstalled it. Delete your Fast Break account has the steps for both, what goes, and what's kept.

Deletion is permanent. There's no grace period and no archive to restore from.

Correct something that's wrong

Most of what Fast Break holds you can change yourself, in the app: your email address, the teams and leagues you follow, your notification settings, and quiet hours. Editing it there is the correction — there's nothing to request and nobody to wait for.

For anything you can't reach from the app — a record you think is wrong, or something shown to you that doesn't match what you set — email support@azeralabs.dev with what's wrong and what it should say. Corrections are made within 30 days and you're told when it's done.

Turn off personalized ads

Fast Break can show ads through Google AdMob. Ads sit behind a feature flag, so there may be none to see at all. When they are on, whether they're personalized is decided by a setting on your device rather than by Fast Break.

On iOS: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking. Switch off Fast Break's toggle there, or switch off "Allow apps to request to track" to answer for every app at once. Either one stops your advertising identifier reaching AdMob.

On Android: Settings, then Google, then Ads. You can delete your advertising ID outright, which stops apps getting one at all, or leave it and switch off ad personalization. If Ads isn't under Google on your phone, search your settings for "ads" — the path moves between Android versions and manufacturers.

Switching personalization off doesn't remove the ads, and it costs you nothing else. Every feature keeps working.

Object to product analytics

Fast Break records ten analytics events — things like opening the app or viewing a story — to work out which parts of it get used. They're tied to a random identifier, never to your name or email. The full list is in the privacy policy.

There's no switch for this in the app, so this page is how you object to it. Email support@azeralabs.dev from the address on your account and ask to be excluded from analytics. Your events are deleted and no more are recorded against your account. Nothing about the app changes for you afterwards.

Deleting your account does the same thing as a side effect, so you don't need both.

Turn off notifications

In the app: Settings, then Notifications. You can switch off one category at a time — breaking news, game results, a single team — or turn them off entirely. Quiet hours are on the same screen if you'd rather keep notifications and not be woken by them.

The operating system overrides whatever the app thinks, and it works even after you've uninstalled. On iOS: Settings, then Notifications, then Fast Break. On Android: Settings, then Apps, then Fast Break, then Notifications.

Deleting your account removes the device push token, which stops delivery at the source rather than at your screen.

If a request isn't resolved

Write again. Requests to support@azeralabs.dev are read and answered, and one that's gone quiet for more than a few days got lost rather than refused.

If that doesn't settle it, you can take it to a regulator. In the EU and the UK that's your national data protection authority. In California it's the California Privacy Protection Agency, or the state Attorney General. You don't need permission to do that, and doing it doesn't close the email route.
